In this course, you will gain insights into artificial intelligence (AI)-technology and learn about its positive and negative aspects. The focus is on so-called large language models (LLMs), especially the generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) model. What can these technologies do? What can they not do? How can we make the best out of them and what do we need to consider? In addition to the theory, you will also receive helpful, practical tips for effective prompting and learn what hallucinating AI is all about. In an excursus, we will take a look at the use of AI in the legal context. The topic of "Medical AI" will be covered in detail in a separate course.

Biography

Dr. Vera Rödel holds a Doctor of Laws and a Master's in Health and Medical Management. With over 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Rödel has specialised in pharmaceutical law, antitrust and risk governance roles. Her extensive legal expertise and deep understanding of health and medical management have been instrumental in developing Valmed A(I)cademy^®.
